We publish information about exhibitions and classes, reviews, conferences, book reviews, product reviews and information of interest to our readers. We have followers from around the world, and welcome guest writers.

"Follow" the BAGSC News blog.

Each time a new article is posted, it will be automatically sent directly to your email address, complete with pictures. No need to remember to go to the blog in your browser. It's easy:

  1. Click on the blue "BAGSC News" headline at the top of this page. The BAGSC News blog will open in your browser.
  2. In the lower right-hand corner of the blog, you'll see a tab that says "Follow". Click there.
  3. Follow the directions on the screen, and put in your email address. The blog will automatically send a verification to your email address. Look in your inbox and click in the email. You're done!

Submit an article.

Contact the BAGSC Communications Committee. Please include:

  • Article title
  • Writer (your name)
  • Permissions granted and resources to be credited
  • Article, with any appropriate web links to mentioned organizations or references
  • Images, including
    • Artwork name (botanical and common), artist's name, medium and substrate (e.g., watercolor on vellum), and copyright date.
    • If photo image, the name of the photographer and the names (from left to right) of people in the photograph, as well as a short caption description of where the photo was taken, or what is happening in the photograph.
    • Please be sensitive when taking photos; parents or guardians need to give permission for us to post images of children on the blog.

Your article may be edited for clarity or length.
